If we truly see animals as individuals, then veganism isn't a personal choice.
When we call exploitation a personal choice, we center the desires of the oppressor while erasing the victim (the animal).
Years and years of "training" were imposed on us in order to filter the individuality of animals out while still leaving enough empathy intact to know, somewhere underneath, that they are individuals.
Animals experience the world around them in their own unique way.
When a choice involves another individual, it is no longer a personal choice.
