From this perspective, there is no reason to justify any form of animal use.
This includes even cases often seen as “harmless,” such as wool from sanctuary sheep or naturally shed feathers.
Once veganism is understood as a principle, the question is not how to divide acceptable use, but to stop treating animals as something for human use at all.
Even when situations are difficult, this does not create permission or justification.
